THE hot humid weather did not deter people
from venturing out to Woodside for the second
Woodside and District Football Netball Club
fun day and first ever Show ’n’ Shine.
Goodtimes motor club member turned out in number
to create a great atmosphere for the fun day. The group
proudly showed off their beautifully restore cars which
was greatly appreciated by everyone from the very young
to the not so young.

• Presidents Choice - No 12, Sandra Denovan 1934 Vin-
tage Austin from Yarram
Down on the oval the footballers were putting on a
show while over at the netball court old friends were
catching up with the Toora netball club players and of-
ficials. The day was organised by Wildcat committee
member Rebecca Morton with the help of many volun-
teers on the day to ensure its success.
The children had lots to keep them occupied with a
jumping castle, zorbe balls, petting zoo and pony rides
all well patronised.

John Terry, locally known

muso, acted as master of cer-
emonies for the day and also
treated guests to his special
brand of singing and guitar
Sue Coad is always
a hit with locals and she
did not disappoint on this
occasion and Paul Sav-
age once again wowed the
audiences with his special
brand of music.
“Our major raffle with
a first prize of a flight
simulator experience will
be drawn in May and tick-
ets for this are available
from many of the Yarram
businesses, and on the day
we had a number of other
raffle draws with Glenda
Seaton of Yarram taking
home the wheelbarrow
full of goodies.”
